Open Show 2008

To be held October 2008

I have for the last 15 years or so, worked and shown gundogs; English Springer Spaniels, German Shorthaired Pointers and Labradors.

With our English Springer Spaniels, we were pleased to gain the ‘Show Gun Working Certificate’ and RCC with Calvdale Guilty as Charged of Meadowdale - Connie. She was later mated to Sh Ch Calvdale Crimewatch to produce for us ‘Sh Ch Meadowdale Budweiser JW ShCM’ a delightful Liver Tri dog, better known to his friends as ‘Buddy’. He had a wonderful start to his show career winning ‘Top Puppy’, gaining his Junior Warrant and Show Certificate of Merit at a very early age. Following on from Buddy’s success, we bought a lovely bitch from Nicola and Martin Calvert, Known as Fay, she also had a flying start winning 2 BPIS at breed club shows, and gained her Junior Warrant in just 4 shows (all of which were breed club shows)!!! We are now delighted to say that she is now ‘Sh Ch Calvdale Testimony of Meadowdale JW’

We have working ESS’s, Monty our L&W dog, has won many field trial awards, and is worked regularly on local shoots, as is his daughter Ria.

Having ‘made up’ a Champion German Shorthaired Pointer, Blaze winning his show title and being a ‘field trial winner’. He also qualified for the HPR championships. Also delighted to win the CC and BIS at a breed club show, with a solid liver bitch named Deva. In the field we also have a GSP bitch Poppy, who is a Field Trial winner

We have trained dogs for local Labrador kennels, and have gained 7 ‘Show Gun Working Certificates’ for their owners, and assisted in the training of many others.

I enjoy all aspects of the gundog world; showing, working, judging, stewarding and having wonderful members of the family.

I am very much looking forward to judging the Northern Open Show in October 2008.
